Things have been okay. Neither of us were taken to that horrible place, but some of my friends were. Are you two okay??

Yes and no. There are a lot of monsters roaming around trying to eat our chickens but it's so far out we've avoided being on the radar for things like that torture palace. I'm glad you dodged that bullet too. Being in the city like that would make me feel cornered.

We have a lantern by our gate if you ever want to come and visit. There are two rings of wards up so it's pretty safe.

It's my birthday soon, maybe I'll have a party.

I always thought I wanted to be a singer, but this actor gig might be better.

I am. It's not as glamorous as yours but I like it.

I'm just a simple guy with simple pleasures I guess. I want a safe, happy home and someone to share it with. I want to do something meaningful that helps people, even if it's small. I want a few, good friends I can trust with my life and time to read and learn about anything that grabs me. Everything else is just bonus.

You know Chuck and I just had our one year anniversary?

I really like it here. I could have a life, you know? A future. Put down roots and finally belong somewhere.
