[ Sometime mid-December, a package is dropped off on Wu's massive front porch. It's wrapped up in old newspaper and twine, as neat as something like that can be.

Inside is a book, painstakingly photocopied, and several additional pages of notes, handwritten: ]

She is a very grumpy cat, aptly named Grumpy Cat. Isn't she precious?!

Of all the things you could name her, that does make the most sense. She just looks like she'd rather not be in this mover.

Where do you FIND these things?

The internet, dear Mako. Didn't your book teach you that?

It's really fascinating. And fun. There's everything on there! Well, just about everything.

My book taught me slang and phrases and that's about it, but that isn't what I meant. I meant where on the internet. Do you just look for them?

[royalfling]

Search for them! Just in the bar at the top. Look for whatever you want!

Not whatever I want. Nothing comes up when I look for animals that we know.

The only thing that came up when I typed in the word 'badgermole.' Apparently it's just 'mole'.

If you could take the animals from here back to our world, you'd be even more famous than your great grandfather and his bear.

My greatest regret is that I never got to meet Bosco.

It is strange that a badgermole looks a lot like the Earth badger and mole, as if they were combined...

That's true of something like 90% of our animals. At least the ones I know. Look:

But not all of them. Flying bison aren't two of the animals here, they're just flying bison.

It's so strange!

Perhaps our world has some connection to Earth, like we do to the Spirit world. I wonder if Earth animals became ours, or the other way around.

That's a pretty good theory, actually. It would explain how places like Deerington are possible. Maybe there was some overlap during the first Harmonic Convergence?

[royalfling]

Maybe... but wasn't that ten thousand years ago? How would that affect us now?

[arclightning]

I don't know, Wu, I'm not a scientist. But it is a weird coincidence.

Honestly, it's just nice that at least you don't look at me like I fused with a spirit when I mention normal animals. I'm getting tired of explaining them over and over again.

Maybe you should make a little card explaining it. Hand them out when someone asks.
