• Additional Adjustments to include:
In his time in Deerington, Wu grew in his self-sufficiency. He lived alone for the first time in his life for several months, learned how to cook (sort of), and learned how to create something from nothing by turning his home into a safe house for friends and strangers. Instead of looking to others to solve problems for him, as he would in canon, he worked with his friends and used his resources to solve a problem that he heard from the people of Deerington. Instead of beautifying the town like he wanted to, he listened and created something that was more helpful and solved an immediate problem of safety and community, sharing his own luxury and giving up his privacy to give back to the community.

Wu's confidence grew in Deerington, through facing dangers and surviving, trusting his friends, and making friends for the first time in his life. He devoted himself to training his body, something he'd never done before, trusting his new friend Raleigh to help him. It was difficult for him, a challenge both mentally and physically, and that he wasn't really very good at, but he knew he had to be able to at least protect himself, at least to not have to rely on the people around him to protect him. He learned quickly that his friends wouldn't always be there to protect him, and that he would need to be capable of protecting himself, in his own way. In February, Mako was turned into an AU of himself and bitten by the rats who make you obsessed with someone. He became obsessed with Wu, controlling his movements in the name of protecting him. After learning that he was alone, that his friends he'd relied on so much were also turning him away and leaving him on his own, Wu knew he had to get out of this alone. He used the skills he'd learned in the last few months to grappled with Mako and break free, freeing himself from Mako's AU self by smashing the flower he had in his pocket. While he was still terrified, Wu was able to move past his fear to free himself instead of solely relying on others. It also helped that one friend, Ruby, was the one person to understand that Wu doesn't want to fight. He doesn't want to have to hurt anyone else, doesn't want to have to learn how to hurt people, but only to defend himself. She gifted him with a weapon to do just that: brass knuckles he could use to push people far away, giving himself enough time to escape. He was grateful for the gift, but even more for the acceptance that his way of existing in the world was okay.

He also learned resilience, forgiveness, and bravery. In March, he was killed by Sam-turned-Lucifer. While the events were traumatic for Wu, what came after was more impactful. He found himself in a position where his death affected his friends greatly, and he had to figure out how to deal with the aftermath of Mako throwing himself into work and Raleigh distancing himself from Wu. Wu was used to being protected as a burden, not loved as a friend with the potential to hurt others with their relationship. It took the strength of the cowboy outfit that the dogs gifted him to stand up to Mako, who had fallen into old habits of working himself too hard to not think about his situation. He was able to get through to him, and the two managed to repair their fragile relationship, with Wu insisting that Mako let him take on some of the burden that Mako had been shouldering himself.

Wu nearly gave up on his relationship with Raleigh, convinced that Raleigh no longer wanted to be his friend because of what happened with Sam. He was so used to being unimportant to people that he didn't believe that losing that relationship would matter to Raleigh. In a last ditch effort, he got up the courage to talk to Raleigh about it, and learned how much his death had affected Raleigh, and convinced Raleigh that he did, in fact, still want to be his friend despite what Raleigh had done to Sam. After Sam also came back from the dead, Raleigh took it upon himself to get revenge, and to let out his exhausted anger, on Sam. Wu learned what was happening, and faced down both Sam and Raleigh, insisting that Raleigh not seek revenge, that more violence isn't the answer to what happened to him. Wu listened to Sam's side of the story, about Lucifer taking over his body, and accepted that as truth despite his own fear. He understood that his death caused all three men pain, each in their own way, and that he was important for a myriad of reasons, and none of them had anything to do with his social position in life, but instead because of his position as a member of a community and a friend.

Chapter 2 Attributes

• Canon Powers: No powers, just a normal human
• Blood Type: Paleblood
• Omen: Fritter the raccoon (Deerington pet turned omen)
• Blessed Day: April 16th
• Patron Pthumerian: Argonaut
• Blood Power Manifestation:
I'm framing Wu's powers as a give and take. He can give a lot: images, memories, hallucinations, calm. He can only take what's given to him: emotions, and possibly images or memories.

Image-based telepathy: Wu can project images into people's minds, either his own memories, what he's currently seeing, or images from his imagination. He can't communicate words into a person's mind, but can project what he's seeing into their mind. He can send images to anyone through touch, or to people he's emotionally connected to over long distances. He can do this accidentally or on purpose. If he's thinking about something strongly when he touches or is thinking about someone, he might accidentally show them the image in his head, but he can learn to control this.

Once he learns more about his powers, he'll be able to see what's in other people's heads, if they allow him to.

Hallucinations: Wu can alter people's perceptions of their surroundings through telepathy, causing them to have an experience like a hallucination. Initially, this ability will be very minor, sort of like how augmented reality is with cellphones right now. So he could add some sparkles or change something's color. He can only cause hallucinations to those in his immediate vicinity.

Empathy: Wu's natural empathy will be enhanced. If someone is feeling strong emotions, he can feel it if he's physically or emotionally close to them. If he's touching someone, he can feel their emotions even if they aren't as strong.

Touch-based calm: If Wu touches someone, he can calm them down a little from heightened emotional states, like if someone is experiencing a panic attack, his touch would help them regain more control of their breath. If he hugs someone, this power is particularly potent, and the person who's being hugged experiences a feeling of calm and emotional safety.
