He’s coiffed and confident, but he’s anxious and terrible at improvising. He tries to be the Prince and King he was trained to be, but he can’t quite fit the mold. When Wu is the most himself, he’ll dance in the street like nobody’s watching, and he’ll sing on the back of a badgermole to rescue the Republic City refugees from Kuvira’s attack on the city. He has a deep love of music, dance, animals, clothes, and food, and he likes to indulge. Wu wishes for a life of leisure, which he could have gotten by following in the footsteps of his predecessors, but his moral compass led him to chose the harder path of abolishing the monarchy. However, that doesn't mean that he'll skip his daily sauna time. Wu doesn't want to be exceptional. He wants to have the freedom to be himself, and to be loved as himself, instead of as a King.
	HISTORY Wu is the last in line for the crown of the Earth Kingdom. He grew up sheltered in the Palace in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. It's tradition that royalty don't leave the Palace, much less the Upper Ring. His parents passed when he was young, leaving him the ward of the Queen, his great-aunt Queen Hou-Ting. After a coup that left the Queen and every other heir dead, Wu was rushed to the United Republic, a country that was annexed from the Earth Kingdom by Avatar Aang. Wu stayed in Republic City for three years for safe keeping while Kuvira was entrusted with getting the Earth Kingdom back under control after the coup. However, Kuvira wasn't willing to simply give the Earth Kingdom back to then-Prince Wu. In yet another coup, Kuvira, called the Great Uniter, took full control of the Earth Kingdom and made it her mission to take the United Republic back. Prince Wu tried to help reclaim his country, but he lacked any experience to do so effectively. After Avatar Korra & co stopped Kuvira's attack, Wu decided to give up his place as King, instead choosing to abolish the monarchy. He's working to peacefully transition the Earth Kingdom from a one kingdom to many smaller democracies, returning power to the people. It isn't a smooth path, but he is committed to abolishing the monarchy, so he can then pursue his true passion: singing.
